WaterNSW, the state’s bulk water supplier and system operator is undertaking upgrade work to replace one valve at Toonumbar Dam and will interrupt water supply to Iron Pot and Eden Creeks over 3 weeks starting 19 April 2021.
There is a water interruption planned for 3 weeks from Monday 19 April 2021 until Thursday 6May 2021 and residents and customers living downstream on Iron Pot Creek and Eden Creek may not have supply during this period.
The works are being undertaken on WaterNSW lands in areas where there is no public access and recreation areas at Toonumbar Dam are to remain open. However, the existing boat ramp will be closed on 19 April 2021, and as needed during this period, with a crane and work boat in use to allow the construction team and divers to safely undertake these works.
WaterNSW will provide early warning network (EWN) updates ahead of the outage and are committed to keeping the local community informed. This work is essential to ensure the efficient delivery of water to customers and to meet contemporary safety and engineering standards.
