Temporary Lane Closure: “Magnetic Island”
Please be informed that there will be temporary single lane closures on various roads on Magnetic Island from April 30th to May 6th, 2024, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. This closure is necessary for Slope Risk Assessment work conducted by Civil Geotechnical Consultants on behalf of the Townsville City Council.
The affected roads include Magnetic Island Road, Horseshoe Bay Road, Nelly Bay Road, Birt Street (Picnic Bay), Magnetic Island Road & Sooning Street, Arcadia, and Horseshoe Bay, Radical Bay & Old Forts Roads (Horseshoe Bay).
During this period, temporary traffic control measures, such as single lane closures with Stop and Go operations, will be implemented.
