ROAD CLOSURE & APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERMITS

ROAD CLOSURE

Pursuant to Section 19(1)(b) of the Local Government (Highways) Act 1982, notice is given that Watchorn Street between Liverpool Street and Bathurst Street will be closed to through traffic from 6.00 pm to 5.00 am overnight on the evenings of Friday 17 and Saturday 18 June 2022 for the purpose of conducting the 'Night Mass' Dark Mofo Event.

Pursuant to Section 19(1)(b) of the Local Government (Highways) Act 1982, notice is given that Hunter Street between Franklin Wharf and Evans Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at times of high pedestrian activity associated with Dark Mofo events. This will include the following:

  • From 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm on Thursday 16 June 2022;
  • From 9:30 pm to 1:00 am on the evening of Friday 17 June 2022;
  • From 11:30 pm to 12:30 am on the evening of Saturday 18 June 2022;
  • From 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm on the evening of Sunday 19 June 2022;

APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERMITS

Notice is hereby given that plans and/or applications have been submitted to the City of Hobart for a planning permit for the following uses and/or developments:


The applications are available for inspection between 8.15 am and 5.15 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from the publication of this notice until Thursday 30 June 2022 at the Hobart Council Centre, 16 Elizabeth Street, Hobart or at https://www.hobartcity.com.au/advertised_applications. Representations relating to these applications may be made in writing addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, GPO Box 503, Hobart 7001 or by email at representation@hobartcity.com.au and must be received no later than 12 midnight on Thursday 30 June 2022. Note: Postal or hand delivered representations will not be received after 5.15 pm on same date.
