Notification of the Proposed Amendment No.26 to the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme (Interim Local Government Infrastructure Plan [LGIP] Amendment)

Notice is hereby given that Toowoomba Regional Council is proposing to amend the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme.

The primary purpose of this amendment is to update the infrastructure schedules of works, maps and supporting documents for water supply, wastewater, transport, stormwater, public parks and land for community facilities networks. This will align the LGIP with Council’s priorities and extend the planning horizon of these networks to 2031, providing a 10 year program.

The proposed interim LGIP amendment changes the following elements of the planning scheme:

Part 4 - Local Government Infrastructure Plan

Schedule 3 - Local government infrastructure plan mapping and tables

A copy of the amendment, together with an explanatory statement summarising the changes, is available for viewing on the Toowoomba Regional Council website https://www.tr.qld.gov.au/planningscheme and for inspection and purchase at Council’s Customer Service Centres located at:

Anyone can make a written submission about any aspect of the proposed amendment until 5pm on Friday 19 August 2022.

There are three (3) ways you can make a submission:

1. Mail a written submission to:

2. Submit a written response in person at a Customer Service Centre, or

3. Submit a response by email to: info@tr.qld.gov.au, Attn: Chief Executive Officer, Toowoomba Regional Council. To be considered, submissions must:

• include the name and address of each person making the submission
• state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds
• unless made electronically, be signed by each person making the submission, i.e. where submitted in hard copy
• be received by 5pm on Friday 19 August 2022.

Council will consider all properly made submissions when finalising the proposed amendment.
