The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (PO Box 4070, Pitt Town NSW 2756) is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment for a proposed development at Cattai National Park, Caddie Road, Cattai NSW (Lot 2 DP 605329) in The Hills Shire LGA. The proposed development comprises conservation of the former Garage/Blacksmith structure. This assessment may result in an application for an Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit (AHIP) under s90 of the National Parks & Wildlife Act 1974. The purpose of community consultation with Aboriginal people is to assist the proponent in the preparation of an AHIP application and to assist the Secretary of the Department of Planning and Environment in their consideration and determination of the application.
We are inviting Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge relevant to the determining the significance of Aboriginal object(s) and/or place(s) in the area of the proposed development to register an interest in the project. If you would like to register your interest, please provide name of group/individual, nominated contact person and contact details. We are required to provide details of all Registered Aboriginal Parties to Heritage NSW and the Local Aboriginal Land Council, unless otherwise advised. Please advise us in writing in you do not wish your details to be released.
