Are you an owner occupier?
Do you own a residential property in the Whitsunday area and live there permanently? Council is seeking information from the owners of residential properties, which is their principal place of residence and is also single residential use, within the Whitsunday area, in order to categorise properties correctly for the benefit of a lower differential general rate. If your property is your principal place of residence, please complete the form and return it to the Council by the due date of the next rate notice. If you are already receiving the owner occupier benefit, you do not need to reapply.

Rating Concession - Granny Flats

Property owners whose property includes not only their principal place of residence, but also accommodation in the form of one (1) granny flat may wish to apply for this concession. The granny flat must be for an approved aged relative. For the 2019/2020 financial year, Council may grant a concession on the water, sewerage and garbage charges that are levied for the property.
