Temporary Road Closure
Garden Grove/Ashbourne Grove Junction, West Moonah
Under Section 19(1)(c) of the Local Government (Highways) Act 1982, notice is hereby given that a temporary road closure will occur to undertake road reconstruction works in Ashbourne Grove, West Moonah.
Glenorchy City Council is required to close a section of Ashbourne Grove at its intersection with Garden Grove to undertake road reconstruction works. The road closure is scheduled to start on Monday 26th May 2025 for a period of 8 weeks subject to prevailing weather and unforeseen conditions.
The road will be closed to all through traffic during this time; however, the school entrance will remain open. There will be a detour in place.
Residents will still have access to their properties; however pedestrian access through the worksite may be restricted. Residents will also be notified when driveway access will not be possible. There may be delays and/or inconveniences during the progress of this reconstruction.
Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause and requests all residents/ motorists/ pedestrians to obey all advisory signs, detours and reduced speed limits during the above period.
