PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE VODAFONE & OPTUS MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION (INCLUDING 5G) AT: BOLIVAR ROAD AND LIBERATOR DRIVE, PARALOWIE SA 5108 - RFNSA SITE NO. 5108008
The proposed facility consists of the addition of new Optus and Vodafone equipment and associated works as follows (including 5G):
- Removal of one (1) existing microwave dish antenna
- Removal of three (3) existing panel antennas from inside the shroud
- Removal of the existing cylindrical shroud (ø1.3m x 2.6m in length)
- Removal of eleven (11) existing remote radio units
- Removal of one (1) GPS from the existing equipment shelter
- Replacement of the existing remote radio unit mounts
- Installation of a new cylindrical shroud (less than ø1.4m x 5.2m in length)
- Installation of three (3) panel antennas inside the new shroud (less than 2.7.m long)
- Installation of six (6) active antenna units (less than 0.8m long)
- Installation of twenty (20) remote radio units
- Installation of two (2) GPS on the existing equipment shelter
- Installation of new mounting steelwork
- Colour-match the new shroud to match the existing
- Provision for ten (10) future remote radio units on mounts
- The removal and installation of ancillary equipment including but not limited to new mounts, combiners, filters, fibre cables, MHAs, switches, feeder cables, breakout boxes, and electrical cabling, and reconfiguration of existing equipment on the building and in the existing equipment shelter
- Optus & Vodafone regards the proposed installation as aLow-impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 (“The Determination”) based on the description above.
