Community Drop-in Session for the Pinnacles Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project
Enervest is hosting a community drop-in session regarding the proposed battery energy storage system (BESS) project at Pinnacles. This project aims to enhance energy storage capabilities, support renewable energy integration, and strengthen grid reliability.
Project Overview
The Pinnacles BESS project involves the development of an energy storage system designed to store and release electricity, helping to balance supply and demand. The project is part of broader efforts to improve regional energy infrastructure, support a stable power supply for the region, and contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
Planning and Approval Process
The project is currently in the planning and approvals phase. A Development Application (DA) has been submitted to Townsville City Council, and as part of this process, the application will soon be placed on public notification providing an opportunity for stakeholders and community members to give feedback.
Community Engagement
Community feedback is an important part of the planning process. This community drop-in session provides an opportunity for the members of the Pinnacles and Kelso community to ask questions, receive project updates, and engage with the project team.
