PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING TELSTRA MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION IN KIOLOA
Telstra plans to upgrade a telecommunications facility, 496 Murramarang Rd, Kioloa NSW 2539 (RFNSA No. 278224)
The proposed facility consists of the following to improve Telstra’s mobile phone network, including 4G / 5G:
Removal of six (6) existing panel antennas to be replaced with six (6) new panel antennas (measuring 2533mm long) at the same height elevation of 40.95m on the existing monopole.
Installation, relocation and removal of ancillary equipment including: replacement of six (6) tower mounted amplifiers, installation of three (3) new remote radio units, mounts, cabling and feeders; and
Internal works within the existing equipment shelter.
Telstra regards the proposed installation as a Low-Impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination based on the description above. The proposed infrastructure will comply with ACMA EME regulatory arrangements.
