PROPOSAL FOR 5G UPGRADE MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT THE EXISTING TELECOMMUNICATIONS SITE AT THE WATER TANK ON 265 ANN STREET, MARYBOROUGH
- The site at which this works is being undertaken is located at Water Tower - 265 Ann Street Maryborough QLD 4650 (3M20185).
- The proposed works include the addition of new 4G & 5G equipment and associated works including the replacement of 2 existing (4G) panel antennas (less than 2.8m long); the installation of 3 new 5G active antenna unit (AAU) (less than 0.9m long); the replacement of 13 existing remote radio units (RRUs) with 6 new RRUs; and ancillary equipment including but not limited to new mounts, GPS antenna, mast head amplifiers, cable tray, fibre and electrical cabling.
- Optus regards the proposed works as a Low-Impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018, based on the description above.
- The proposed infrastructure will comply with the ACMA EME regulatory arrangements. An EME Report and further information can be obtained from https://www.rfnsa.com.au/4650017.
