PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE VODAFONE & OPTUS MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION (INCLUDING 5G) ON THE ROOFTOP LOCATED AT: 564 ST KILDA ROAD, MELBOURNE VIC 3004

1. The proposed facility consists of the associated works as follows:
• Removal of three (3) existing panel antennas
• Removal of eighteen (18) remote radio units
• Installation of three (3) panel antennas (no more than 2.7m in length)
• Installation of twelve (12) remote radio units (560mm x 308mm x 149mm)
• Installation of three (3) active antenna units (819mm x 400mm x 256mm)
• Installation of one (1) GPS
• Provision of future active antenna units and remote radio units for utilisation
• The reconfiguration of existing technologies and the addition of new technologies for 3G/4G/5G systems
• The removal and installation of ancillary equipment including but not limited to new mounts, combiners, filters, fibre and electrical cabling, and reconfiguration of existing equipment on the facility and in the existing equipment shelter
2. Optus & Vodafone regards the proposed installation as exempt in accordance with Schedule 4, part 1 of the State Environmental Planning Policy (Transport and Infrastructure) 2021 (SEPPTI), based on the description above.
3. In accordance with Section 7 of C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code, we invite you to provide feedback about the proposal.
