PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION IN NSW INCLUDING 5G

S0624 Enmore: Existing facility on Kennards Self Storage, 64 Chapel St, MARRICKVILLE NSW 2204 (RFNSA number: 2204005)

The proposed facility consists of the addition of new equipment and associated works as follows (including 5G):

• Installation of four (4) new Optus/Vodafone passive antennas 2.1m long, on the new antenna mount at a height of 15m and 14m

• Installation of three (3) new Optus AAU’s, 0.79m in length on new antenna mount at a height of 16.9m and 14.7m

• Installation of three (3) new Vodafone AAU’s, 0.75m in length on the new antenna mount of the new headframe at a height of 16.9m and 13.6m

• Installation of nine (9) new Optus and twelve (12) new Nokia remote radio unit’s (RRU’s) installed on new RRU mount

• The removal, replacement and reconfiguration of existing Optus/Vodafone panel antennas and associated ancillary equipment including AAU’s, RRU’s, GPS antenna’s, mounts, cabling, hybrids, feeders, and other associated equipment

The proposed facility consists of the addition of new equipment and associated works as follows (including 5G):

• Replacement of existing headframe with new headframe (painted to match)

• New panel antennas:

• Six (6) new 5G panel antennas, measuring less than 1.0m in length

• Six (6) new 4G panel antennas, measuring less than 2.8m in length

• New ancillary equipment including antennas mounts, remote radio units, feeders, cabling and other associated equipment

• Replacement of one (1) existing Optus GPS antenna with one (1) new GPS antenna

• Installation of one (1) new Vodafone GPS antenna

1. Optus and Vodafone regard the proposed installations as Low-impact Facilities under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 (“The Determination”), based on the description above.
