PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE EXISTING MOBILE PHONE BASE

STATION AT 358-408 CHURCHILL ROAD, KILBURN SA 5084 INCLUDING 5G

 

1. The proposed upgrade to the existing facility involves:

  • Replacement of the existing headframe with a new and slightly larger headframe;
  • Installation of three new Vodafone and six new Optus 5G antennas (nine in total) to be located on the new headframe;
  • Installation of three new panel antennas on the new headframe for Optus; Antennas will measure no more than 2.8m long;
  • Replacement of three panel antennas with three new panel antennas on the new headframe for Vodafone;
  • Reconfiguration of existing and installation of new ancillary equipment, including RRUs, GPS antennas, cabling and other items associated with safety and operation of the facility;
  • Reconfiguration and installation of equipment within the existing equipment shelter.

 

2. Vodafone and Optus regard the proposed installation as Low Impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 ("The Determination") based on the description above.

3. In accordance with Section 7 of C564:2018 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code, we invite you to provide feedback about the proposal.
