PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE EXISTING MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT STEIGLITZ WITH 4G/5G TECHNOLOGY

Telstra plans to upgrade an existing telecommunications facility at 84 Cabbage Tree Point Road, STEIGLITZ QLD 4207 (RFNSA No. 4207005).

1. The upgrade consists of
• Replacement of six (6) existing omni antennas with six (6) new panel antennas (each is no more than 2.8m long)
• Replacement of three (3) existing Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMAs) with six (6) new TMAs
• Replacement of six (6) existing Remote Radio Units (RRUs) with three (3) new RRUs
• Ancillary works including feeders, cable trays, fibre, and electrical cabling
• Internal work in the existing equipment shelter

2. Telstra regards the proposed works as Low-impact Facilities under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 (“the Determination”) based on the description above.

3. In accordance with Section 7 of C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code, we invite you to provide feedback about the proposal.
