PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE EXISTING MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT CHURCHABLE WITH 4G/5G TECHNOLOGY

Telstra plans to upgrade on an existing telecommunications facility at 50 Plan 807891 Balaam Hill Road CHURCHABLE QLD 4311 (RFNSA No. 4311006).

1. The upgrade consists of
• Removal of six (6) existing panel antennas
• Removal of six (6) existing Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMAs)
• Installation of six (6) new panel antennas (each is no more than 2.8m long)
• Installation of six (6) new TMAs
• Installation of three (3) new Remote Radio Units (RRUs)
• Ancillary works including ancillaries such as Remote Radio Units (RRUs), feeders, cable trays, fibre, electrical cabling, and etc.
• Internal work in the existing equipment shelter.

2. Telstra regards the proposed works as Low-impact Facilities under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 (“the Determination”) based on the description above.

3. In accordance with Section 7 of C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code, we invite you to provide feedback about the proposal.
