PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE EXISTING MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT BRIGALOW WITH 4G/5G TECHNOLOGY

Telstra plans to upgrade an existing telecommunications facility at 627 North Kogan Road (Lot 55 Plan DY71) BRIGALOW QLD 4412 (RFNSA No. 4406002).

1. The upgrade consists of
• installation of new mounts
• Replacement of six (6) existing panel antennas with six (6) new panel antennas (each is no more than 2.8m long)
• Removal of six (6) existing Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMAs)
• Installation of six (6) new TMAs
• Ancillary works including feeders, Remote Radio Units (RRUs) cable trays, fibre, and electrical cabling
• Internal work in the existing equipment shelter

2. Telstra regards the proposed works as Low-impact Facilities under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 (“the Determination”) based on the description above.

3. In accordance with Section 7 of C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code, we invite you to provide feedback about the proposal.
