The upgrade comprises the reconfiguration of six (6) existing antennas on the existing monopole and the installation and replacement of ancillary equipment such as GPS antenna, remote radio units, filters, combiners, mounts, cable trays, and cables. There will also be internal works in the existing Telstra equipment shelter.
The proposed upgrade will improve existing 4G services from the facility and introduce 5G services to the surrounding area.
Telstra regards the proposed upgrade works as ‘low-impact’ pursuant to the Telecommunications (Low-Impact Facilities) Determination 2018 based on the description above.
