Telstra is proposing to upgrade the existing mobile phone infrastructure at the above address to allow for the introduction of 5G to Telstra’s network (and reconfiguration of existing technologies if required).
• The proposal consists of the addition of NR26000, NR850, NR/LTE2600 and NR3500 (5G). Also included LTE700, LTE1800 and LTE2100 (4G) (and the reconfiguration of existing technologies if required).
• Six (6) new antennas for new technologies.
• Six (6) tower mounted amplifiers (TMA’s).
• Three (3) remote radio units (RRU’s).
• The removal of redundant equipment including nine (9) antenna.
• Ancillary works may be necessary for the safety and functioning of the existing mobile phone base station and may include antenna mounts, signage, conduits, cables, maintenance and safety equipment.
Telstra regards the proposed installation as a Low-impact Facility
under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 ("The Determination") based on the description above.
