NOTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION OF ABORIGINAL INTERESTS

Biosis is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment and test excavations to inform the proposed Mirror Dam Cycleway Project located, within the Liverpool Local Government Area, for Capital Insight, on behalf of Greater Sydney Parklands Trust (James Haldane, Project Manager, 9955 ... , james.Haldane@capitalinsight.com.au).

Biosis invites Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge in determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the vicinity of the above area to register their interest in a process of community consultation.

The purpose of Aboriginal community consultation is to assist Capital Insight, on behalf of Greater Sydney Parklands Trust in preparing an application for an Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit (AHIP) (if required) and to assist Heritage NSW, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (Heritage NSW) in its assessment of the application. The project will be undertaken in accordance with the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
