Biosis is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment (ACHA) for the “New primary school near Sydney Olympic Park (Carter St Precinct)” at 15A Carter Street, Lidcombe, NSW, within the Parramatta Local Government Area on behalf of School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) (Frank Princi, Project Director School Infrastructure NSW, 1300 482... , email@example.com).
The project will be assessed as State Significant Development under Part 4.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
In accordance with the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Consultation Requirements for Proponents 2010 (DECCW 2010), Biosis invites Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge in determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the vicinity of the above area to register their interest in a process of community consultation.
The purpose of Aboriginal community consultation is to provide sufficient information for the assessment of Aboriginal cultural heritage values, and to assist the Secretary of the Department of Planning, Infrastructure and Housing in their consideration and determination of the application. The project will be undertaken in accordance with the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
