PUBLIC NOTICE OF REPEAL OF TEMPORARY LOCAL
PLANNING INSTRUMENT NO. 1/2023
AND ADOPTION OF TEMPORARY LOCAL PLANNING
INSTRUMENT NO. 1/2024
Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 that on 19 February 2025
Logan City Council resolved to repeal Temporary Local Planning Instrument
No. 1/2023 on 6 March 2025.
Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 that on 19 February 2025
Logan City Council resolved to adopt Temporary Local Planning Instrument
No. 1/2024 for the City of Logan.
The temporary local planning instrument (TLPI) will take effect on 6 March 2025
and cease to have effect on 6 March 2027, unless repealed sooner.
The purpose and general effect of the TLPI is to prevent potential loss of the city’s
fl ood resilience and suitably manage development in the fl oodplain in the local
government area by:
(a) suspending the operation of specifi c fl ood-related provisions
of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015, and
(b) applying new fl ood-related provisions affecting the operation
of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015.
The TLPI overrides the provisions contained in the Logan Planning Scheme 2015
to the extent of matters outlined in Part 3 of the TLPI.
Where an inconsistency arises, the TLPI shall prevail.
A copy of the TLPI is available for inspection and purchase at the Logan City
Council Customer Service Centres at Logan Central, Jimboomba and Beenleigh
or can be viewed and downloaded from Council’s website at logan.qld.gov.au.
