GLENORCHY CITY COUNCIL GLENORCHY
INTERIM PLANNING SCHEME
2015 DRAFT AMENDMENT PLAM-20/01
Notice is hereby given that Glenorchy City Council has certified draft amendment PLAM-20/01 to the Glenorchy Interim Planning Scheme 2015. The draft amendment may be inspected during normal office hours at the Council offices, 374 Main Road, Glenorchy, from Wednesday 29 July 2020 until Wednesday 26 August 2020.
What land is affected by the amendment? 52 Albert Road Moonah
What does the draft amendment seek to do? The amendment seeks to apply a site specific qualification to allow the use class storage (self-storage facility) to be a discretionary use class at 52 Albert Road, Moonah.
What is the reason for the amendment? The amendment is being sought as the use class storage is a prohibited land use in the General Business Zone. The site specific qualification would enable consideration of a discretionary planning permit application for a change of use to storage (self-storage facility) at the site in the future.
How can I be involved? In accordance with Section 39(1), former provisions, of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993, any person may make representation about the draft amendment during the above period by letter addressed to the General Manager, Glenorchy City Council, P.O. Box 103, Glenorchy, 7010 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is important, if you wish to have your say, either in favour or against the draft amendment that you put your comments in writing to Council. Otherwise, you will not have formal status in any future processes involving the final decision-making body for the draft amendment, the Tasmanian Planning Commission.
