The Department of Education is proposing the delivery of new infrastructure at the above address, which will include the following: Construction of a new two-storey Multipurpose Hall and new two-storey General Learning Building (GLA). Details of these projects include:
• new Multipurpose hall with ground floor lobby and parking, fi rst floor hall with associated spaces, including: storage areas, gym, senior hub, music classroom, kiosk, and gathering areas;
• new Learning building with 10 GLA spaces, student and staff amenities and support spaces and access between levels;
The project also includes the infill of the existing J Block to create an additional five (5) GLAs and one (1) specialist space within the ground floor infill area plus new covered outdoor area. Other buildings will be refurbished, including refurbishment of the Administration building to become a new multipurpose building and Block MP being refurbished to become the Administration and Hydrotherapy Building.
Other improvements include:
• new car park accessed via a new crossover on Endeavour Street (67 spaces);
• new car parking and drop off area and enhanced bus loading, drop off and pick up areas within an extended covered platform;
• relocation of multipurpose playground and shade structures and reinstatement of op shop and library;
• covered access links between buildings and parking areas, and landscaping.
The project will increase the school student enrolment capacity by an additional 66 students, from 156 students to 222 students.
