Extension of Mobile Phone Tower Lease
Notice is hereby given that the City of Mitcham proposes pursuant to Section 197 of the Local Government Act 1999, to consult on a proposal to enter a new 10 plus 10-year lease with Ampitel at the existing mobile phone tower at Colebrook Drive, Eden Hills (former Eden Hills landfill site). The City of Mitcham
is inviting the community to provide feedback on a proposal to issue a 20-year lease (10 plus 10) to Amplitel situated at Eden Hills Landfill Reserve. The Reserve is additionally used by the Lions Club of Blackwood for their Bargain Centre. The Reserve has an existing mobile telecommunication tower which was erected in 2004/05 by Telstra and has been held for 20 years under two leases from Council with the leases expiring 31 July 2025 and 31 December 2026 respectively.
