PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT:
1.HEATHMONT: BLITZ MARTIAL ARTS, 126 CANTERBURY ROAD HEATHMONT 3135
The proposal involves the:
•the removal of existing tower mounted amplifiers (TMAs)
•the installation of one (1) new GPS antenna
•swap out three (3) existing panel antennas with three (3) new panel antennas (each antenna measuring 2688 mm in length) at elevation 17.75 m
•the installation of three (3) new panel antennas (each antenna measuring 750mm in length) at elevation 19.77m
•the installation of eleven (11) new remote radio units (RRUs)
•the upgrading of equipment within the existing equipment shelter
•ancillary works necessary for the effective and safe operation of the facility
2.The purpose of this installation is to provide enhanced 4G services and new 5G services to the Heathmont area. Vodafone and Optus regard the proposed installation as a Low Impact installation in accordance with the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 Schedule - Facilities and areas Part 1 - Radio Facilities Item 4 and Part 3 - Low Impact Facilities Item 3.1(4)(a) based on the description above.
3.The proposed infrastructure will comply with the ACMA EME regulatory arrangements. An EME Report can be obtained from https://www.rfnsa.com.au/3135001.
