DEPLOYMENT CODE: NEWSPAPER NOTICE

PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT:

1. ROSEBERY: 6-8 CREWE PLACE ROSEBERY NSW 2018

The proposal involves the:

  • Swap out one (1) existing GPS antenna with one (1) new GPS antenna
  • Swap out three (3) existing panel antennas with three (3) new panel antennas (each antenna measuring 2688 mm in length) on existing mounts at elevation 19.4 m
  • Swap out two (2) existing tower mounted amplifiers (TMAs) with two (2) new tower mounted amplifiers (TMAs)
  • Swap out nineteen (19) existing remote radio units (RRUs) with nineteen (19) new remote radio units (RRUs)
  • The repositioning of one (1) existing RRU mount
  • The installation of one (1) new GPS antenna
  • The installation of five (5) new tower mounted amplifiers (TMAs)
  • The installation of six (6) new remote radio units (RRUs)
  • The upgrading of equipment within the existing equipment shelter
  • Ancillary works necessary for the effective and safe operation of the facility

2. The purpose of this installation is to provide enhanced 4G services and new 5G services to the Rosebery area. Vodafone and Optus regard the proposed installation as Exempt Development in accordance with State Environmental Planning Policy (Transport and Infrastructure) 2021 Schedule 4 Part 1, based on the description above.

3. The proposed infrastructure will comply with the ACMA EME regulatory arrangements. An EME Report can be obtained from https://www.rfnsa.com.au/2018014 .

4. In accordance with Section 7 of the Industry Code, C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment, you are invited to provide feedback about the proposal.
