Queensland Police Service Responses to Domestic and Family Violence
The Commission of Inquiry into Queensland Police Service responses to domestic and family violence calls for submissions from members of the public, members of the Queensland Police Service, members of the Legal Profession, community and industry groups and academics in criminology and, or policing practices.
In summary, the Inquiry’s terms of reference are:
The Commission’s primary focus is on systemic matters affecting the capacity of the Queensland Police Service to respond to domestic and family violence and to make recommendations about how to address any issues identified in that examination. The Commission will not examine individual cases.
The Commission will look at relevant submissions previously made to the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce: Hear her voice Report One – Addressing coercive control and domestic and family violence in Queensland.
