BOROONDARA CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEASE
Boroondara City Council (Council) gives notice under section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) of its intention to enter into a lease with a retail florist in respect of the premises located at Shop 7, Camberwell Fresh Food Market, 519-525 Riversdale Road, Camberwell, being part of the land contained in certificate of title volume 7862 folio 027 (Premises).
The principal terms of the lease will be:
1. A term of five (5) years plus one (1) further option of a further five (5) years.
2. Market rent.
3. Rent to be reviewed annually by fixed increases of four (4) percent and a market review upon the exercise of the option.
4. Outgoings and other charges are payable by the tenant.
5. The permitted use is “retail sale of fresh flowers plants and associated gift products”.
In accordance with section 223 of the Act, any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing no later than Tuesday, 3 March 2020.
All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.
A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at a meeting of the Council or its Committee on a date, time and place to be determined by Council.
Any person making a written submission under section 223 of the Act is advised that all submission and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
