APPROVED SYSTEMATIC INSPECTION PROGRAM
Logan City Council resolved on 19 April 2022 to carry out an approved systematic inspection program in accordance with the provisions of section 134 of the Local Government Act 2009.
The purpose of the inspection program is to conduct inspections on private properties for the investigation and identification of defective, improper and illegal stormwater connections to the wastewater system in catchments within the city that suffer overflows during severe wet weather.
Defective, improper and illegal stormwater connections to the wastewater system are prohibited under the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008 and Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018.
The program will commence Monday 4 July 2022 for a period of three months.
Inspections may be conducted between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Saturday.
It is the intention of Council that authorised persons will inspect premises in selected areas of Windaroo and Bahrs Scrub, as defined in the resolution.
A copy of the resolution that approved the systematic inspection program may be requested from Council until the end of the program and will be provided free of charge.
