APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO VICTORIAN CLASS A CEMETERY TRUSTS

The Minister for Health is pleased to invite applications for part-time trust member positions on the following Victorian Class A cemetery trusts:
• Ballarat General Cemeteries Trust
• Geelong Cemeteries Trust
• Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust
• Remembrance Parks Central Victoria
• Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust

This is an exciting opportunity for suitably experienced individuals to be appointed as members of a Class A cemetery trust. Class A cemetery trusts are responsible for the proper management and governance of the trust in accordance with the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2003.

Class A cemetery trusts require members with a range of skills and expertise in areas including corporate governance, strategic planning and thinking, financial management and analysis, community engagement, stakeholder management, communication and risk management. Lived experience and knowledge of public sector accountability frameworks may also be advantageous in this role. We continue to seek representation on cemetery trusts from individuals with diverse backgrounds to reflect the communities they serve.
