Notification and Registration of Aboriginal Interests

Glenstone of 1/124 Russell Street, Emu Plains, propose the redevelopment of 170 Russell Street, Emu Plains. They will prepare an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report and will undertake testing and possibly salvage prior to the redevelopment. The property is located within the Penrith Local Government area.

Registrations of interest are sought from Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of any potential Aboriginal objects or places at this location. The purpose of the community consultation with Aboriginal people is to assist the proponent in the preparation of an application for an AHIP and to assist the Director General of the Department of Planning and Environment in his or her consideration and determination of the application.

Please note that the details of Aboriginal people or organisations who register an interest will be forwarded to Heritage NSW (HNSW) and the Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council (DLALC). If you do not want your details forwarded to HNSW and/or the DLALC, please specify in your letter when registering an interest that you do not want your details forwarded to HNSW the DLALC.
