Invitation to Register Interest
Artefact Heritage and Environment on behalf of Goodman (the proponent) is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report (ACHAR) of the property at 132 McCredie Road, Smithfield ahead of the proposed development of a data centre.

Goodman have applied for the proposed development as a State Significant Development (SSD) under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. The Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for the project were issued on 4 April 2024 (SSD- 6922... ) and require the assessment of the likely impacts of the proposed development on Aboriginal heritage (cultural and archaeological), through the preparation of an ACHAR. Goodman has engaged Artefact Heritage to complete an ACHAR for the project. The purpose of this community consultation is to inform the development of an ACHAR to include in the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the project.
The proponent therefore seeks to consult with Aboriginal groups or individuals who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the Smithfield area.
Interested parties should register in writing, providing their name, address, email, phone number and information on their connection to the area. Please note that the Consultation Guidelines requires us to provide details of the Registered Aboriginal Parties to Heritage NSW and the Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC). In your response could you please advised if you would not like your details to be provided.
