Weed Biosecurity Project Officer – 3YTC
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join Rous County Council as our Weed Biosecurity Project Officer (3YTC).
A focus for this role is to manage the effective delivery of specific biosecurity functions, to meet Council’s legislated requirements and agreed levels of service. The position will coordinate the development and implementation of strategic, operational and project plans related to weed biosecurity activities. This includes developing and implementing plans and strategies, sourcing new funding (when required) and delivering specific weed biosecurity outputs.

Rous County Council is situated in Lismore, the heart of the Northern Rivers with an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

Remuneration from $65,806 p.a. - $76,980 p.a. (plus statutory superannuation)

Developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on strategic operational and project plans related to weed biosecurity

Maintaining awareness of funding and partnership opportunities as well as working with industry to mitigate risk and ensure they are able to uphold their responsibilities under biosecurity legislation.
