In this role you will ensure that the Procurement Section delivers on co-design of services with the community. You will define inventory stores strategies through stakeholder partnering, collaboration and engagement to ensure value add, value for money to the organisation, to deliver cost savings, and ensure process efficiencies / improvements. You will be providing high level expert contract management and supplier management practice, advice and strategy development and key stakeholder engagement. You will set and evaluate tender criteria/analyse costs from tenders to ensure criteria set meets the requirements of the stakeholder, as well as conduct contract and pricing negotiation to get the best value for money and to ensure cost saving targets is met.
To be considered for this role you will have:
• Degree in Procurement or Finance, or minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong negotiation, stakeholder collaboration and customer service skills.
• High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel.
• An understanding of the Local Government Act and exposure to the public sector
