Reporting to the Group Manager People and Performance, Council are seeking a dynamic, collaborative and experienced People and Culture Manager to work closely with leaders and team members to provide customer focused, high quality human resource-related advice in areas such as interpretation of industrial instruments (agreements and/or awards), organisational development, employee relations, job design and evaluation, performance management, succession planning and handling of disputes and grievances.

Rous County Council is situated in Lismore, the heart of the Northern Rivers with an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

Remuneration from $98,238 p.a. - $114,920 p.a. (plus statutory superannuation)

Your average workday will be kept busy by:

Working closely with and building collaborative networks with senior leadership and all internal customers to ensure Council’s strategic plan is achieved and that relevant people and development plans are aligned to meet strategic and operational objectives.

Liaising and networking with staff, union organisers and representatives, government agencies and other organisations at all levels to achieve desired outcomes.

Identifying areas for continuous improvement and provide innovative input into the review and development of policies, procedures and systems to support HR performance.
