About the Role
Metal Fabricator/Welder- Leading Hand is a hands-on role. Most of the time would be spent working on the tools as a metal fabrication and welding tradesperson. We produce a diverse range of products so you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different jobs.
As leading hand other responsibilities would include:
- Effectively organise, direct and supervise up to six Fabrication Shop employees.
- Reading technical drawings and generating cut lists and job process plans.
- Organise day to day requirements for jobs including materials, appropriate personnel and liaising with our stores and machining department’s personnel
- Assisting those quoting with information on estimate production times.
- Monitoring and instructing trades and production personnel to maintain standards in areas of safety, quality workmanship and efficiency.
About You
- Trade qualified fabricator welder.
- Extensive metal fabrication and welding skills and experience.
- Strong organisation, communication and leadership qualities.
- High level of pride in workmanship and attention to detail.
- Prioritize safe work practices.
- Reliable and enjoy working steadily in a production environment.
