Marano's Fuel distribute bulk fuel and oil to businesses and communities throughout North Queensland.
We have an opportunity for a Full-Time Truck Driver to join our Cairns based team. The suitable candidate will be responsible for safe delivery of fuel to Customers and Retail Sites across North Queensland.
About the role
•Completing daily pre-start checks on equipment
•Pre-Loading and unloading of bulk fuel plus transportation and delivery of all fuel grades to customers
and retail sites
•Complete log book and fatigue management procedures
•Develop positive relationships with customers
•Follow instructions from schedulers for daily duties, trip sheets and timeframes
•Ensure safety and compliance is adhered to at all times
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
•Current MC licence (preferrable)
•Minimum HR Licence
•Previous experience as a truck driver with fuel experience preferred (training can be provided)
•Hold a current Safe Load Program (SLP) and Dangerous Goods Licence (preferred- training can be provided)
•Excellent driving history
•Good communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work shift work days/nights, including early mornings
•Sound computer skills would be an advantage, training provided
•Previous experience with Fatigue Management desirable, training provided
This position is subject to obtaining a traffic history and Drug and Alcohol Test
