Project manager subdivisions
The JAC Group is Josef Chromy’s private investment group with interests in the wine industry, commercial property development and residential subdivisions.
Our subdivision business is one of the largest in Tasmania with more than a dozen subdivisions statewide in various stages of development from pre-zoning to construction, completion and sale.
We are looking for a talented and dedicated person to join our team to help with managing our rapidly expanding portfolio of subdivisions. Reporting to the Executive Director responsible for residential subdivisions you would be involved in all aspects of the initial assessment and ongoing management of construction for our subdivisions right through to issue of titles for completed lots.
You would also be supported by our Works Coordinator.
This full-time role would suit a person with strong administrative skills who is able to work well under pressure with excellent time management capabilities. You would be involved in reviewing the designs and plans for individual subdivision stages, negotiating with civil contractors on rates and ensuring that all aspects of staged development are progressed efficiently and as timely as possible. You would also be dealing with TasNetworks, TasWater, NBN, the LTO and a number of civil contractors and various Councils on issues that arise during and after construction, and ensuring titles for lots are obtained as fast as possible.
All civil construction is performed by external civil contractors so this role does not involve on-ground management of civil crews but is rather an administration and management office-based role.
The ideal candidate would have either civil construction, civil engineering or possibly a planning background. The level of remuneration will be set based on experience and the quality of the selected candidate, however we are prepared to set an attractive package for the right person.
