About The Barossa Co-op

The Community Co-operative Store (Nuriootpa) Ltd was formed in 1944 as a general store owned by, and operated on behalf of, its members. Today the business comprises nine retail businesses serving the needs of more than 23,000 members in the Barossa Valley. Sales turnover is more than $60m and The Barossa Co-op, as it is called, employs more than 300 people. Our supermarket relocated in late 2017 into a state-ofthe-art facility. We are now working to improve our customer service delivery across the store. In an evolution of our current operations, we are recruiting three new management positions. The successful candidates will make significant contributions to our goal of being the best supermarket in the country.

About each role

Reporting to the Supermarket Business Leader, these Managers will provide a clear focus on the delivery of exceptional customer services in each operational area of the store. This success will be achieved through the support and leadership provided to the store teams. Inventory management will be a key focus. Strong, long term supplier relationships are a necessity. We want to excite our customers, to take them on a journey of discovery of new things whilst ensuring all their favourites are consistently available. Customer Experience Manager

This leader is tasked with building a whole-of-business customer experience. Our store is much more than just a supermarket and there are many customer-facing roles – from store entry, to experiential opportunities across the store to the checkout service. Our goal is that every customer interaction is a positive one that results in the total shopping experience exceeding their expectations.

Skills and experience

Significant experience in developing and executing outstanding customer service, combined with innovative
merchandising strategies and positive supplier relationships will deliver success. If you are a confident and inspiring leader who can build on strengthening our customer service capabilities.
