The Youth and Family Worker is responsible for implement a culturally relevant, strengths-based, family centred support service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, particularly those who are at risk of or already involved in the youth justice system
The position would suit an applicant who holds a relevant qualification together with experience in the Youth Justice or similar field.
The above is an Identified position. It is a genuine occupational requirement that an Identified position be filled by an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person, as permitted by and arguable under section 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).
