In accordance with s133 of the Local Government Act 2009 and s113 of the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 Carpentaria Shire Council resolved to conduct a systematic Approved Inspection Program within Carpentaria Shire and is scheduled to be carried out from 01 July 2019 for a period of up to three (3) months.
To ensure that all dogs over the age of 12 weeks are registered in accordance with the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 and that the owners have a proper enclosure that prevents their dog(s) from escaping their properties. Council’s Authorised Officers will be visiting homes between the hours of 7.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Sunday, with the majority of inspections to be carried out during normal working hours, or at such a time depending on the circumstances of the householder.
This year’s program will commence on the 01 July 2019 and will be end on 30 September 2019.
Type of Program:
The Approved Inspection Program is a systematic program which will include all properties in Normanton and Karumba townships.
The approved inspection program is scheduled to be carried out for a period of up to three (3) months and will end on 30 September.
