2019-2020 Proposed Annual Budget

At the Special Meeting of Council on Monday 8 April 2019, Council resolved to advertise its Proposed Annual Budget for the financial year ending 30 June 2020 in accordance with Section 129 of the Local Government Act 1989.

 

Frankston City Council invites public comment on the Proposed 2019-2020 Annual Budget. Copies of these documents are available for inspection at the Frankston Civic Centre, 30 Davey Street, Frankston, during business hours of 8.30am to 5pm (Monday to Fridays) or via Council’s Web site at www.frankston.vic.gov.au

 

Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing. Any person who wishes to be heard in support of their written submission must request this in their submission. Such person will be entitled to appear in person or by a person acting on his or her behalf before the Council meeting where submissions will be heard.

 

Submissions must be received at Council by 5pm on Tuesday 7 May 2019, addressed to:

The meeting of Council scheduled to be held at 7pm on 8 May 2019 will hear the submissions. Council will hold a special meeting on 20 May 2019 at 7pm to consider the adoption of the “Annual Budget 2019-2020”.
 

Making of Governance (Amendment) Local Law 2019

On 1 April 2019, Frankston City Council resolved to make Governance (Amendment) Local Law 2019 (the Amendment Local Law).

The following information about the Amendment Local Law is provided in accordance with section 119(3) of the Local Government Act 1989.

Purpose and General Purport: The Amendment Local Law amends Council’s Governance Local Law No. 1 of 2018 by altering the timeframe for submission of a notice of motion in clause 33(1) of the Governance Local Law No. 1 of 2018 from “11 clear business days” to “11 clear days” before the meeting at which it is to be considered, and provides for the orderly, efficient and equitable conduct of meetings of Council and Special Committees.

The Amendment Local Law will commence operation on 12 April 2019.

A copy of the Governance Local Law No. 1 of 2018, incorporating the amendments made by the Amendment Local Law, may be inspected or obtained at Council’s Civic Centre, 30 Davey Street, Frankston, during office hours, and on Council’s website at www.frankston.vic.gov.au.

Mapping Road Name Data Correction
For Mcmahon’s Road and Frankston-Flinders Road, Frankston
(Alias Moorooduc Highway)

Council wishes to advise that a mapping error in Vicmap Road name data has been identified.

Two (2) sections of road have been updated in the State Government VicMap Transport data to correctly identify the official (Council) primary name for McMahon’s Road and Frankston-Flinders Road and the declared (VicRoads) name Moorooduc Highway as the VicMap secondary road name.

The correct Vicmap road names are outlined on the map below:

Residents, businesses and services, including all service roads and properties addressed to McMahons Road, Frankston-Flinders Road and Moorooduc Highway, Frankston will not be impacted by these changes.
