2nd NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR MATERIAL ALTERATION TO LIQUOR LICENCE

The Friends of Araluen Incorporated, hereby give notice that they have applied to the Northern Territory Liquor Commission for approval of a material alteration to extend their liquor licence area for their premises known as Araluen Centre for Arts & Entertainment. Located at 61 Larapinta Drive, Alice Springs, NT 0870

PROPOSED EXTENSION OF LIQUOR LICENCE AREA

The proposal is to extend the liquor licence area to Witchettys, the Circus Lawns, the Mural Courtyard and the area in front of the Araluen building being the access road and western carpark area. The current liquor licence days and hours of the liquor trade are seven days a week Sunday to Saturday 12:00 hours to 23.59 hours and will apply to this new area. All other conditions of the liquor licence will also apply to this area.

This is the second notice of application. The notice will not be published again.

The objection period is deemed to commence from Friday, 12 April 2019 being the date of publication of second notice, and ceases at the close of business, Monday 13 May 2019.

Pursuant to Section 47F(2) of the Liquor Act an objection may only be made on the ground that the grant of the licence may or will adversely affect: (a)the amenity of the neighbourhood where the premises the subject of the application are or will be located; or (b)the health, education, public safety or social conditions in the community.

Only those persons, organisations or groups described in Section 47F(3) of the Liquor Act may make an objection. Section 47G of the Liquor Act requires the Director-General of Licensing to inform the applicant of the substance of any objection.
